Hola, Senor and Senorita, so you are planning a cheap vacation to the beautiful Mexican resort, Cancun. Okay, first we will tell you about Cancun and then we’ll show you how to save over 70% on expenses. Sounds cool? Let’s go:
Home to the ancient Mayans, Cancun is, today, one of Mexico’s best resorts famous for its beautiful, sun-kissed beaches. Cancun sports miles of shoreline full of white sand surrounded by the sparkling crystal blue Caribbean Sea.
Cancun beaches
In fact, the incredible beaches of Cancun hook the tourists from the word go. Just imagine: miles of shoreline that is full of activities such as beach volleyball, parasailing, surfing, wave running, relaxing, and, ahem, bird watching! Topless bathing is acceptable, full nudity is not – so if you’re an exhibitionist, Cancun is not the place to show off your assets.
The world famous Cancun tourist spot
Tourists normally stay in a zone called the “Zona Hotelera” (Hotel Zone), which is a narrow, 14-mile long island full of hotels and apartments dotting the coastline. This is another incredibly happy place to be in as it is packed with marinas, water front cafes/restaurants, shops, nightclubs and two golf courses. No matter which hotel you stay in, you’re always close to the water – but, hey, who’s going to hang out in hotels when you have the beautiful Caribbean Sea right next to you.
Bang in the center of the tourist zone is a partying area (called the “Party Zone”) where you can let your hair and everything else down. Then, near the tourist zone, there are a few archeological spots that provide the ideal diversion from too much beach hyperactivity.
The real Cancun city
You may not know this – but life does exist outside the famous tourist spot, in a place called “Centro”, which is also known as Cancun city. The Mexican tourism authorities heavily promote the tourist zone, but “Centro” isn’t promoted – and if you’re in Cancun, you must take a look at it and chat it up with the friendly locals who live there. Remember to shop for local goods only at “Centro” as the prices are really affordable out there.
In conclusion
That was about Cancun in brief – and telling you about it was the tough part. Now, we get to the easy part – of getting you cheap travel, cheap resorts, and, in short, a cheap vacation that can give you all the fun but save you loads of cash!
